TEN DAYS IN SICILY
TEN DAYS IN SICILY
Sicily. 1st - 3rd May, 2026.
An open invite to my favourite people.

What's this about?
In May 1966, 4 friends travelled to Sicily to watch the GP of Syracuse, the trophy Marathon and the last real road race, the Targa Florio. They documented their experience in a book called 'Ten Days in Sicily'.

None of these events exist anymore, but Sicily in the spring is an idea I can get on board with, so on the 60th anniversary of their trip, (oh, and my 40th birthday) I'm planning on recreating it.
I'll be spending 10 days exploring the island, flying into Palermo on 25th April and back home from Catania on 4th May. I would love to finish the trip by inviting people to join me on Saturday 2nd May (exact location tbc but will be south east for flights out of Catania airport) for some drinks and good times. It's a long way to go for a drink so no expectations. However, if you happen to like the idea of a trip to Sicily, flights are relatively cheap, there's a bank holiday on Monday 4th May, and you can spend as much or as little time with me as you want!
